This is what the Dandy Annual 1998 looks like. As you can see it is in tatters because I bought it in a second hand shop. I find second hand shops to be the best places to find old Beano and Dandy Annuals and comics. Many of the old Dandy characters are in it, like Desperate Dan, Korky the cat, Cuddles and Dimples, Claude cuckooland, Jonah, Blinky, Oliver Twister, Banana Man, Sneaker, Winker Watson, Cowerin' Wolf, Growing Paynes,
Beryl the Peril, Bully Beef and Chips, Molly, Sherman Tortoise, Carrot, Marty's Mouse, Smasher and last but not least  Dinah Mo.

Over the next few weeks I will be taking and putting up some photographs from my Beano & Dandy collection for you to view. I will be using a small digital camera and a small home made background studio that I made myself.  I will also show you how to make this simple background studio which uses only natural daylight to take the photographs.

I will be showing you not only my Beano & Dandy comics and annuals, but also my collection of figures and memorabilia that I have collected over the years.

         

The Dandy comes to an end!!!

After seventy five years of the Dandy appearing in shops all around the world it comes to an end. I was upset when I heard they had stopped printing it. When I also heard they were putting it online I knew it wouldn't be the same.

I looked forward to reading it every week and bringing it home every week and adding it to my massive colllection.

I have been collecting and reading the Beano and Dandy for about seven years ever since I was six. One evening my dad brought me one home. It was one of the 'Classics from the comics' magazines featuring all the old classic characters and stories.
